How to enable bank integration with ZTL

Bank integration through ZTL in Catacloud

With ZTL, the payment process becomes more efficient. You get access to all company accounts regardless of bank, which makes it easy to switch between banks or set up more accounts without the need for new agreements. Real-time data provides an overview of account balances and transactions without delays, and you can save costs through fee-free foreign payments and competitive exchange rates.

Overall, ZTL provides a solution that is both flexible and cost-effective, which makes it easier to keep control of the company's finances and optimize payment processes. If you switch from a file integration, you must remember to cancel the service so that you avoid the fees at the bank, as this integration does not require additional agreements with the bank.

How to activate the integration

Here is a small guide on how to set up and get started with the bank integration we have created in collaboration with ZTL:

  1. Go to the module for Administration, and click on Bank
    Under the heading Bank integration, you can see if the integration is active and click to switch it on.


  2. Select "Set up integration" under ZTL
    (possibly check supported banks if you are unsure whether your bank is supported)


  3. Fill in and sign the agreement with ZTL
    You will be sent back to Catacloud after this. When everyone has signed, you can see that the bank integration is active and ready for use. ZTL is authorized for payment services and is regulated under the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority and is therefore obliged to obtain information about all companies that will use the service. This can be filled out and sent for signature to those who have signature rights in the company.


  4. Set up a bank account by pressing "connect" on the account you want to set up
    This can be repeated for all accounts you wish to set up. As a rule, we set up all accounts for which you give consent in the bank and which you have in Catacloud, therefore you only need to do this once per bank if you have several accounts in the same bank.


  5. Give consent to log in with bank ID
    Here you must use the social security number for most banks, while DNB uses the company's user ID.


  6. Now data is loaded continuously
    As long as there is active consent, we will periodically check for new data to keep Catacloud up to date with the bank.

Once the consent is active, you can start using the integration for payments, bank reconciliation and overview of account movements. Keep track of the consent's expiry date, and renew if necessary. if the consent has expired, you will see a yellow banner inside Catacloud, and it is easy to renew the consent again with BankID.
