General ledger account

A general ledger account is an accounting account where costs, income or balance are entered to create an account. The accounts are often fully defined according to a standardized chart of accounts. A general ledger account has in a chart of accounts a unique account number defined by 4 digits between 1000 and 9999, where they are divided into groups according to the first digit, the first two digits and the first three digits.
