How to manage access control for employees

How you can manage access control for employees in Catacloud.

With several employees in a company, you may need to limit which access and permissions the various employees should have in Catacloud.

  1. To manage the access control, you first go to administration, which is in the menu you find at the very top left.
  2. When you're in administration, you press permissions in the menu on the left. You then get the option to create one access group. An access group is simply a group for users who should have the same access in Catacloud. At the very bottom here you will find an overview of all current access groups that have been created for this company. You will see small icons indicating which members are in the group. When you hold the mouse pointer over the access group, you will see that the members of the group are highlighted in the overview above. 
  3. If you want to create a new access group, press new access group at the top. You will then get a window where you must fill in the name of the access group.
  4. If the group should have all access, you can press all rights.
  5. Then you go to members, and ticks the boxes for which members will be included in this access group. 
  6. If you do not choose all rights to begin with, you get the option to specify accesses. You then get a detailed menu that gives you full control over exactly which access the various users have.
  7. When you have specified which access the users should have, press  store. Once the access group is created, it will appear in the overview of groups at the bottom of the page.
  8. Once you have created the access groups you want, you can also easily move members by highlighting them and dragging them down in the access group.
